An effort to restore the balance of the ecosystem in the Ujung Kulon National Park

In an effort to support the conservation endangered wildlife in the Ujung Kulon National Park, Banten, the Tahija Foundation funds several activities that indirectly enhance the improvement of the habitat of the targeted wildlife (in particular the endemic Javan rhinoceros).

Tahija Foundation, since 2001 to 2009, in cooperation with WWF Indonesia has supported marine activities which aim to protect the integrity of the park habitat (e.g. marine patrol, and to over time transfer the stewardship responsibilities for natural resources in the park to local communities by developing activities from where they can earn sustainable income. Above all the Foundation intend to develop a built-in capacity within the park to sustain its own operations.
