Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Budi G. Sadikin, spoke with dr. Sjakon G. Tahija, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Tahija, accompanied by dr. Shelley L. Tahija, Supervisory Board of Yayasan Tahija, at the Minister of Health’s official residence in Jakarta on January 5, 2023.

The Minister of Health appreciated the World Mosquito Program (WMP) research result in Yogyakarta. dr. Sjakon updated Yayasan Tahija’s plan to complete the deployment and monitoring activities in Sleman and Bantul by the end of May 2023 and officially conclude the project and collaboration with all parties by the end of June 2023.

Yayasan Tahija committed to making WMPY a place of learning for all parties that will conduct the scale at a later stage. The training program has been attended by 28 participants from 11 regions in Indonesia. This event was also attended by Mr. Trihadi Saptoadi (Chairman of Yayasan Tahija), Prof. Adi Utarini, and dr. Riris Andono Ahmad both from Gadjah Mada University, Mr. Maxi Rondonuwu (Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia) and Mrs. Endang Sumiwi (Director General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia).
